MoLu Highlands

Booking Terms & Conditions

1. Dogs and other pets

MoLu is a working farm. Dogs and other pets must be left at home and must not be left in

vehicles on the property under any circumstances.

2. Your Booking

Your booking is confirmed once the required payment has been received and a booking confirmation

has been issued.

Please check your experience, date, time and guest numbers carefully, and contact us promptly if

anything is incorrect. Only guests included in the booking may attend, unless additional guests have

been confirmed by MoLu.

These terms apply to on-farm experiences. Off-site events, weddings and other separately quoted

services are subject to the terms supplied with their booking.

3. Rescheduling

At least 48 hours’ notice

If your plans change, please contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled experience start

time. With the required notice:

• You may transfer your booking once to another available date without a rescheduling fee.

• Your replacement experience must take place within three calendar months of your originally

scheduled experience date.

• Transfers are subject to availability and apply to the same experience and guest numbers. Any

requested upgrades or additional guests are payable separately.

• Moving your booking does not restart the three-month period.

Please contact us promptly to arrange your replacement date. If MoLu cannot offer a replacement date

within the three-month period, we will offer an extension or a refund.

For a change of mind or a change in your personal plans, our standard option is a date transfer rather

than a cash refund. This does not affect any refund rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

4. Cancellation policy

Late cancellations and missed bookings

Bookings cancelled or changed less than 48 hours before the scheduled experience start time, and

bookings where guests do not attend, receive no refund or reschedule. The full booking amount is

forfeited, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

For a reduction in guest numbers with less than 48 hours’ notice, the full amount paid for the cancelled

places is forfeited, subject to the same consumer rights.

Cancellations made by MoLu are covered by

section 6.

5. How to request a change

Please submit requests to MoLu in writing, including your booking name, original experience date and

preferred replacement dates.

Notice is measured from the time your written request is received, rather than when we reply. A

replacement date is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from MoLu.

All booking times and notice periods use Queensland time (AEST).

6. Weather and changes made by MoLu

Our experiences take place outdoors and may proceed in light rain or variable weather where

conditions are safe and suitable. Please dress for the forecast.

MoLu management reserves the right to cancel or reschedule experiences due to unsafe weather,

animal health or welfare, biosecurity concerns, or other conditions that prevent safe delivery.

If MoLu cancels your experience before it begins, you may choose a transfer to a mutually suitable

available date or a full refund of the amount paid to MoLu for the cancelled experience. The guest

cancellation deadline does not apply when MoLu cancels.

If an experience is significantly changed or interrupted, we will discuss an appropriate replacement or

refund, taking account of what has been provided and your rights under Australian Consumer Law. We

will contact you using the details supplied with your booking.

7. Arrival and late attendance

Please arrive 15 minutes before your booked start time for check-in and a safety introduction. If

you are running late, please contact us. Late arrival may shorten your experience, as we may be unable

to extend the scheduled finish time.

If you miss the safety introduction, participation may be delayed or unavailable where it would be

unsafe to join. Any cancellation charge will be assessed in accordance with

section 4.

8. Waivers, children and guest safety

Each adult must complete the guest waiver before participating. A parent or legal guardian must

complete the relevant section for children in their care. Please review the waiver before your visit and

contact us with any questions.

Children must remain under the supervision of their accompanying adult throughout the experience.

Guests may enter animal areas only when invited.

Staff instructions and guest conduct

All participants must follow MoLu staff and management’s instructions at all times. Anyone who refuses

or fails to comply will be asked to stop participating and leave the property. MoLu may also require any

guest in your group to leave if their conduct creates a safety or animal welfare risk. No refund will be

provided in these circumstances, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

9. Biosecurity and suitable footwear

Clean, enclosed shoes are required. Footwear must be free from mud and manure before arrival.

Guests must read and follow MoLu’s Visitor Biosecurity Instructions, linked from the booking

information and waiver, and follow any reasonable hygiene instructions given by their host. Please do

not bring animal feed or treats from home.

If a footwear or biosecurity concern cannot be resolved on arrival, participation may not be possible.

Any cancellation charge will be assessed in accordance with

section 4.

10. Animal welfare and accessibility

Our animals’ wellbeing comes first. Interactions are supervised and may vary according to the animals’

health, behaviour and comfort on the day. We cannot guarantee interaction with a particular animal,

including newborn calves.

If a change substantially affects the experience you booked, we will discuss suitable options with you.

MoLu is a working farm with grass, uneven ground and areas that may become damp. Please contact us

before booking if you have accessibility or support requirements so we can discuss whether the

experience is suitable and what arrangements may be possible.

11. Photographs

You are welcome to take personal photos while following your host’s safety instructions.

Permission for MoLu to use identifiable guest photographs or videos for social media or advertising is

requested separately through an optional photo-consent checkbox. Agreeing to these booking terms

does not provide that consent.
