Visitor Biosecurity Information

Queensland, Australia 2026

Protecting our Highlands, our farm and the animals we love.

At MoLu, the health and wellbeing of our animals is our highest priority. As a working farm in the beautiful Noosa Hinterland, we ask all visitors to follow our biosecurity instructions to help protect our Highland cattle and other farm animals from infectious diseases, parasites and unwanted pests.

These instructions apply to all guests attending MoLu Highland Experiences, private visits, photography sessions and all other on-farm activities.

1. Clean footwear and clothing

  • All visitors must wear enclosed footwear.

  • Footwear must be clean and free from mud, manure, soil and plant material before arrival.

  • Clothing must be clean and free from animal waste and weed seeds.

  • Visitors may be required to clean or disinfect their footwear before entering animal areas.

  • Footwear previously worn on other farms must be thoroughly cleaned before visiting MoLu.

2. Recent contact with other animals

Please notify MoLu management before your visit if you have:

  • Visited another farm, livestock property, agricultural show or animal facility within the previous 48 hours.

  • Had contact with sick livestock or animals suspected of carrying an infectious disease.

  • Visited a property experiencing an animal disease outbreak.

Recent farm visits do not automatically prevent entry. However, additional precautions or rescheduling may be required.

3. Recent overseas travel

Visitors who have travelled internationally within the previous seven days must notify MoLu before attending.

Visitors returning from overseas within this period must not have direct contact with livestock or enter livestock areas.

This precaution reflects Queensland Government visitor biosecurity guidance.

4. No outside animals

Dogs and other pets are strictly prohibited from entering the property.

This includes pets remaining inside vehicles.

Only animals belonging to MoLu or specifically authorised by management are permitted on the property.

5. Animal interaction and feeding

  • All animal interactions must be supervised by MoLu staff.

  • Do not feed animals unless instructed by your host.

  • Do not bring outside animal feed, hay or treats onto the property.

  • Do not enter animal enclosures without permission.

  • Avoid contact with animals showing signs of illness.

  • Wash or sanitise your hands after handling animals and before eating.

6. Designated visitor areas

Visitors must:

  • Park in the designated visitor parking area.

  • Remain within approved visitor areas.

  • Follow all signs, gates and access restrictions.

  • Avoid entering livestock paddocks, feed storage areas or restricted farm facilities without permission.

  • Follow all instructions provided by MoLu staff and management.

7. Illness and health precautions

Please contact MoLu before your visit if you are experiencing symptoms of a potentially infectious illness, particularly diarrhoea or vomiting.

Visitors must notify staff immediately if they notice any animal appearing unwell, injured or behaving unusually.

8. Biosecurity compliance

All visitors must follow these instructions and any additional biosecurity directions provided by MoLu staff and management.

MoLu management reserves the right to refuse entry or require visitors to leave the property if biosecurity instructions are not followed.

These measures help us maintain a healthy, safe environment for our animals and everyone visiting our farm.

Visitor acknowledgement

All Visitors to the farm will be required to confirm that they have read, understood and agree to comply with MoLu's Visitor Biosecurity Instructions, including all directions provided by MoLu staff and management.

These instructions are based on Queensland's general biosecurity obligation and government guidance for visitors to agricultural properties. As well as Molus own restrictions and other property-specific conditions are MoLu's own entry requirements.
